Thanks to the expert of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken", Kazakhstani companies got the opportunity not to import a certain group of products and to buy them here in Kazakhstan, from domestic producers.

At the same time, he noted that, according to research out of 147 items, 101 items are produced in Kazakhstan.

"The next stage of the analysis showed that in 2015 the volume of procurement of 147 goods  by national companies, mining companies and government agencies amounted to 146 billion tenge, where the share of imports was 96.6%.", - Said A. Erzhanov.

The expert of NCE gave the metallurgy as an example, where flat-rolled mill products with the width of 600 mm or more, welded pipes for the oil - and gas pipelines with the diameter of 530 mm or more, screws and bolts without heads made of stainless steel and others are imported.

It is noteworthy that "Atameken" didn’t limit to announcement of import-substitution alternatives, it began to help the Kazakhstani producers, to carry out negotiations with potential buyers of the products. In particular, the regional offices of NCE RK "Atameken" held weekly meetings for this purpose. "This work has started recently, and we have held two meetings, which were attended by 9 customers and 12 domestic producers", - said A. Erzhanov.

NCE "Atameken" noted that importers of goods admitted that they did not know about the existence of producers in Kazakhstan.
