Development of joint tourist projects will be another area for cooperation between business of Kazakhstan and China. This was announced today at the Kazakh-Chinese tourism forum in Astana by Vice Minister of Investment and Development Timur Toktabaev. He recalled that during the recent visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Hangzhou to participate in the summit of G-20 countries' leaders in Hangzhou, they discussed the development of the state program "Nurly Zhol" and the Chinese initiative "The economic belt of of the Silk Road". Earlier, Kazakhstan and China agreed on implementation of 51 projects valued at 26 billion dollars. "God himself favored within these huge plans for mutual investment cooperation to stipulates the development of tourism", - said Deputy Minister.

In turn, the increase of the flow of tourists from China to Kazakhstan is expected after the opening of the Kazakh section of the transport corridor "Western Europe-Western China", when the dynamics of automobile tourism and bus tours through the key attractions along the highway "increases significantly".

"The Chinese market is one of the priorities of Kazakhstan's tourism market", - said Timur Toktabaev.

The vice-minister also recalled that "in December was signed a memorandum between the Ministry of Investment and Development, and the State Administration of Tourism of China on the simplification of group tourist trips." In this case Timur Toktabaev assured that "mechanisms for implementation are fully adjusted and implementation is in an active stage".

In 2017 in Kazakhstan will be a global event - a 28th Winter Universiade in Almaty and EXPO -2017. "We are pleased that the Chinese side is taking part in these events. A Chinese pavilion at EXPO-2017 will be one of the largest among Asian countries", - said Deputy Minister for Investment. The Kazakh side has prepared more than three thousand cultural events for visitors of EXPO-2017, and it also plans to hold an international conference "Tourism - energy of the future" in cooperation with the World Tourism Organization. In this regard, at the Forum the Chinese professionals and tourists were invited "to visit Astana during the days of the exhibition".

In addition, 2017 will also be the first year of China's tourism in Kazakhstan. The tourist agencies of the two countries plan to hold a series of meetings to discuss joint projects, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the Year of China tourism in Kazakhstan. "I am sure that all these activities have a positive effect on attendance dynamics in both countries. We strongly believe that the forum will become an important factor in strengthening bilateral relations ", - said Timur Toktabaev.

In turn, Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov, acting as a moderator of the forum, said that "Atameken" suggested to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan to establish an intergovernmental working group, noting that "many issues are at the junction of state bodies". "We hope that the Ministry of Investment and Development will be a working body of the group and will actively on resolution of questions and problems."As you know, tourism is very important direction", - concluded Ablay Myrzakhmetov.
