17th Kazakhstani International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" started its work in Almaty
Today, on 19th of April at 11.00 was held the official opening ceremony of the 17th Kazakhstani International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel", which is the largest tourist forum of Central Asia. The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, Akim of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek, the head of the State Administration for Tourism of the PRC Mr. Du Jiang, Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Yuliya Yakupbaeva took part in the opening ceremony. The exhibition was opened as a part of the opening ceremony, there was also a grand opening of the year of China's tourism in Kazakhstan.
The exhibition will last three days, more than 30 countries and more than 300 participating companies will take part in it. This site brings together about 5000 tourism professionals from different countries. During the exhibition, participants will learn about the novelties and trends of the season, visit informative training seminars, presentations and programs, they will be able to get profitable special offers, effectively build partnership relations.
Participants from other countries will get an idea of the new tourist products of Kazakhstan, taking into account the forthcoming EXPO exhibition this year. So, for example, this year for the first time the city of Almaty and Almaty region work at a joint stand within the Almaty metropolitan area. The head of the TIC in Almaty, Asel Nurkebaeva, said that in accordance with the Tourism Development Concept of Almaty, gastronomic tourism is represented at the exhibition. "In the world, 79% of tourists prefer destinations, which offer new impressions in the field of gastronomy. In addition, we are betting on the development of digital technologies in tourism, as half of all tourists use mobile versions of tourist sites. At the exhibition, we presented two new mobile applications - a guidebook and an audio guide", - said A. Nurkebaeva. Today in the second half of the day, the attention of the majority of the exhibition participants is focused on the road show of JSC NC "Astana-EXPO-2017" on the topic "Travel the Silk Road and visit Astana-EXPO-2017". Within the framework of the road show, the participants will see a presentation on the tourism of Kazakhstan, the product portfolio of EXPO-2017, they get acquainted with the tour packages of Kazakhstani tour operators, will receive information about the "Caravan EXPO-2017" in the cities of Europe. It is also planned to hold contests with prizes and coffee breaks within the frames of the road show.
