Kazakhstan and Romania strengthened business cooperation

An agreement on cooperation was signed between the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and the National Council of Small and Medium Sized Private Enterprises of Romania (CNIPMMR) on 19th of July at the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana. The event was attended by Dinmukhamed Absattarov, Director of the Department for the Development of Small and Medium Business of NCE RK "Atameken", and Liviu Rogozhinaru, Secretary General of CNIPMMR. Romania is an important trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan. In turn, Kazakhstan is a major investor in its economy. There is a steady interest in intensifying business ties. Trade and economic cooperation is developed practically in all directions: energy, engineering, metallurgy, transport and logistics, as well as light industry. Only in 2016 the trade turnover between the countries amounted to 921 million dollars.

"We have a significant EXPO event in Kazakhstan in 2017. We are very pleased that Romania takes an active part in it and shares the interests of our business relations. The National Chamber has similar duties with CNIPMMR. Today we represent two committees: trade, small and medium business. About 40 enterprises of Romania are represented in Kazakhstan. In turn, Romania has about 30 Kazakhstani companies. This shows that good mutual cooperation is possible between our countries", - said Dinmukhamed Absattarov.

CNIPMMR is accredited and licensed by the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Social Protection of the Family and the Elderly, and the Ministry of National Education of Romania.

Functionality and scope of activity is that the company promotes a small and medium business environment, assists members of the syndicate association, offers services in the IT and Internet sphere, as well as other types of business activities. It participates in drafting RLAs and proposing them to the government. It protects the rights of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses at government agencies.

"Our company is the largest association in Romania. We are 165 years old and by origin we are the third association in Europe. We support and promote international conversions of cooperation between countries. We provide consultations to SMEs", - added Liviu Rogozhinaru.

The main objectives of the cooperation of the Parties are to promote the effective implementation of policies for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as assistance in creating favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship and trade.

The document provides for the mutual exchange of information: on the legislation of the Parties, on state and non-state programs for the development of entrepreneurship, on the creation of conditions for the development and implementation of international quality standards for services and technological processes for business, assistance in training and skills development for employees of small and medium enterprises, general issues, including an increase in mutual trade turnover between countries.

It should be noted that NCE RK "Atameken" has good contacts with Romania at the level of business communities, which is of no small importance and brings a great contribution to the development of countries and mutually beneficial cooperation. As part of the program, a delegation from Romania presented its work for Kazakhstan's small and medium-sized businesses. Both sides hope that the signed document will put another round in strengthening cooperation.
