Russian customs gave "authorization"
Transit trucks, following to Kazakhstan, were allowed to cross the border
On 6th of December this year at the outer edge of the Eurasian Economic Union, Kazakh trucks, following from Turkey through Russia to Kazakhstan, had to undergo full inspection.
Thus, according to the Association of International Road Carriers KazATO, currently there are 8 Kazakhstani vehicles at the customs checkpoint Verkhniy Lars (the Russian-Georgian border) and the customs check point Troebortnoye (the Russian-Ukrainian border) there is one truck, standing in line to undergo full inspection.
However, Kazakh carriers crossing the Russian-Ukrainian border at the customs point Krupets, are still on the neutral territory.
On 25th of November this year was restricted entry to the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union for vehicles, including Kazakhstani transit trucks, following to Kazakhstan from Turkey through Russia.
By the results of joint work of NCE RK "Atameken" and the authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the part of the carriers was redirected for alternative routes through the Caspian Sea. However, some drivers, who couldn’t change the route were on the neutral territory until last night.
In order to resolve the situation on 4th of December 4 this year NCE RK "Atameken" appealed to the Federal Customs Service of Russia to ensure transit of Kazakh goods through the external borders of the Eurasian Economic Union, foolwing from the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
