Ablay Myrzakhmetov "Business Council should be proactive in the interests of business"
This was announced today at a briefing at the press center of NCE RK "Atameken" by the Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov.
According to him, at the end of the first part of the meeting of the Business Council of EAEU, which was held in Astana under the chairmanship of the head of the Presidium of the Business Council Timur Kulibayev, was introduced the post of the President of the Union of the Business Council and formed a working secretariat.
"The Kazakh side suggested to this position, based on the experience and capacity, the candidacy of Viktor Khristenko, which all members of the Council unanimously supported. We hope that the arrival of such an experienced manager, the first chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission will give a strong impetus, firstly, to our relations both within the EEC, as well as with national governments, but also in the horizontal communication between business of the member states of the Union", - said Ablay Myrzakhmetov.
As it was announced by the head of the Board of NCE, the President of the Business Council, together with the coordinators from each of the parties within one month will be prepared a detailed work plan, which will be available to the business community and the media. Also today, the Business Council signed an agreement on cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission.
"We intend to intensify the work of 19 advisory councils, which reflect all the problematic issues of business. Each of the participants of the Business Council is ready to take an active part, to delegate its experts, and then the President of the Business Council will coordinate the work based on his experience, so that we not only move on the path, introducing already adopted EAEU decisions, but ahead of the curve, offering solutions that are needed today for business, taking into account their interests", - concluded the Chairman of NCE.
He also added that in a month will be prepared a number of projects designed to unite entrepreneurs of 5 countries. In the first years of integration it was a competition between businessmen of the Union, and now, after some adaptation, it is necessary to use the advantages provided by the integration through cooperation. "We need to make active use of barrier-free opportunities to attract investment, trade, general logistics opportunities for market access, and even internal reserves", - concluded Ablay Myrzakhmetov.
Recall EAEC Business Council was created in 2015 on the initiative of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Council consists of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
