Foreign consultants to assess the facilities subject to privatization will be invited to Kazakhstan
Creation of four working groups (or, as they are called, project offices) is envisages in connection with the decision of the State Commission on modernization of the economy of Kazakhstan with the involvement of the international consultants. This was announced today at the Government meeting by the Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov.
"By the condition on 1st of October this year, only 315 objects were sold within the "second wave" of privatization, by condition on 6th of October 2016 - 322 objects in the amount of 86.6 billion tenge since June 2014. This year 67 objects were sold by the condition on 1st of October in the amount of 7.1 billion tenge", - informed the head of the financial department.
In addition, at auction, including repeated ones, "200 objects in the amount of 186.1 billion tenge were place at auctions. According to the Minister of Finance, 26 objects were place at an auction for the second time, 35 – for the third time. As a result, 515 objects were placed at auctions, of which, according to Bakhyt Sultanov, 315 were sold and 200 are still offered at an auction.
The work and preparation of privatization of 65 top objects is on, it's 65 largest companies of the republican property and the national holdings. Suggestions for privatization of top 65 are considered at a meeting of the State Commission, said the minister of national economy Kuandik Bishimbayev. "We plan by the end of the year to submit for consideration of the State Commission roadmaps for placement of shares of large companies of "Samruk-Kazyna" from the list of top-65 at the IPO, such as "KazMunayGas", "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", "Air Astana", "Kazakhtelecom "," Kazpost ", "Tau-Ken Samruk” and “Samruk-Energo"", - said Kuandik Bishimbayev.
The Minister of National Economy said that there have already been held 5 meetings of the "State Commission at which were taken decisions on 129 of the 217 companies of "Samruk-Kazyna", including two objects from the top-65. According to Kuandyk Bishimbaev, of the 127 companies of the second list, 59 have to be liquidated, 12 - need reorganization, 1 company is excluded from the list, it is football club "Kairat", 55 assets of are subject for sale, 32 of which "have already been sold".
