Issues of CIT were discussed at Atameken

On 21st of August a roundtable discussion on "Corporate income tax" was held at "Atameken". The event was attended by Rustam Zhursunov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of NCE RK "Atameken" and representatives of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"We did not make a revolution with the corporate income tax. This is mainly aimed at improving existing standards. To a large extent, they are aimed at those moments of taxpayers, where there were disputes and misunderstandings", - Rustam Zhursunov noted.

"It is planned to approximate individual income tax to the structure of corporate income tax (CIT). More or less significant changes are provided in the deduction for doubtful requirements. The project provides for the right to classify as a deduction dubious requirements for persons who sold goods or rendered services, ceded or acquired the right of a dubious claim. It also provides for exemption from payment of CIT at the source of payment of dividends and increase in the value of the subsoil user. As for the taxation of the financial sector, the current regulations are preserved", - Sandugash Kasimova, an expert of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, said.

"Soon it is planned to present the draft of the Tax Code at the level of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. There are approved charts. In September, the consideration in the Mazhilis is planned. The entry of the Tax Code into force is scheduled for 1st of January 2018. We believe that this is not entirely correct. This is a new document and entrepreneurs will not have time to study it, to prepare. We are raising the issue at Parliament to give more time for consideration and broad discussion with business in the regions. So that the study of changes lasts until 1st of July 2018 and entered into force only from 1st of January  2019. At least it will be right and fair for business. The decision has not yet been taken. It is difficult to comment", - Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" said.
