TIMUR KULIBAYEV: THE ATTITUDE OF ENTREPRENEURS TOWARDS THE AUTHORITY HAS BEEN CHANGED AND THAT'S WHAT COUNTS
The Chairman of the Presidium of the NCE RK "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev voiced his conviction at a meeting of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan dedicated to the results of the activities of the National Chamber for 5 years.
The session was opened by the chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin. He noted that in a relatively short time "Atameken" showed serious results of huge work for the development of entrepreneurship and protection of its interests.
"It is safe to say that Atameken has shown itself as an effective expert platform for the support and development of entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan. Over the years, from problem to problem, from region to region, you have successfully fulfilled your mission. This is evident from the work with the deputy corps and factions. When considering bills, the deputy corps studies the position of Atameken on entrepreneurship very attentively and up to 80% initiatives of Atameken are supported" Nurlan Nigmatulin said.
The result of this interaction was the Entrepreneurship Code, adopted in 2015, in which all legal norms regulating entrepreneurial activity were brought together for the first time. Tax Code, Customs Code and the Code "On Subsoil and Subsoil Use" are among the laws that contribute to improving the business climate in the country.
At the same time, the problematic issues of domestic business were also identified. Inaccessibility of credit resources for SMEs, low qualification of personnel working in business, access to foreign markets are among them.
"By solving them, we can move to the goal set by the Head of State, so that the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the country's GDP by 2050 would be at least 50%. I am confident that due to the support of the President of the country, due to available resources and opportunities, we will be able to successfully achieve this goal, "Nurlan Nigmatulin said.
In his turn, the Chairman of the Presidium of the NCE RK "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev noted that the National Chamber was initially created as an interactive platform between business and government and this task was successfully realized.
"We are very active in working with the Parliament and the Government. The daily support of the Head of State allows us to feel comfortable in this dialogue. The state agencies began to change their attitude - they are meeting entrepreneurs, but most importantly, the attitude of business to the authorities has changed: from complete reluctance to cooperate, when the entrepreneur in every possible way avoided communicating with representatives of state bodies, without expecting help from them, to normal relations. The situation has changed and this is the most important thing" Timur Kulibayev said.
