The NCE RK "Atameken" and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum on interaction
The document was signed by the Chairman of the Board of the NCE RK "Atameken" Ablai Myrzakhmetov and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov.
The NCE RK "Atameken" has become an effective dialogue platform for representatives of business, government and quasi-public sector at all levels, including the development of the health care system.
At the same time, there is a need to strengthen the interaction between the National Chamber and the relevant department to deal effectively with existing issues and develop the entire medical industry.
As Yelzhan Birtanov noted, the Ministry of Health is doing a lot of work to develop the industry. However, there are numerous issues that must be adressed with the participation of non-governmental organizations and business.
"As part of the memorandum implementation, it is necessary to strengthen the participation of Atameken and business in the introduction of the principles of corporate governance and management. To recruit the representatives of the NCE to the supervisory boards of medical organizations. One of the topical issues is the digitalization of the industry. Within the framework of this program a number of measures on joint cooperation are envisaged to improve the quality of the services provided" Yelzhan Birtanov said.
In addition, within the framework of the Public Council of the Ministry of Health of the RK, established for the purpose of developing the health sector in the directions of drug provision, deregulation and development of public-private partnerships, medical services provision in the framework of CHI and SFMA, the Minister of Health supported the proposal to expand its powers: sending inquiries about the activities of medical organizations, holding meetings in the regions.
"The activities within the framework of the Roadmap on the implementation of the memorandum on interaction will make it possible to conduct fruitful work in six areas: improving the health financing system, introducing compulsory social insurance and digitalization, developing PPPs, the pharmaceutical industry, medical services and medical tourism." - Ablai Myrzakhmetov, Chairman of the Board of "Atameken" said.
