ATAMEKEN APPOINTED AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR INTERACTION WITH OIL AND GAS OPERATORS
Assylbek Dzhakiyev was appointed to the position of the official representative of the NCE RK "Atameken" for cooperation with LLP "Tengizchevroil", "North Caspian Operating Company" (NCOC), "Karachaganak Petroleum Operating" (KPO) and development of the oilfield service
Asylbek Dzhakiyev was born in Atyrau on May 8. He graduated from KIMEP with a bachelor's degree in social sciences. Being the participant of the "Bolashak" program, he received a master's degree in the program "Joint European Master's Program in Comparative Local Development" of the University of Trento (Italy), University of Regensburg (Germany), University of Corvinus (Hungary), he also studied at the Geneva Institute of International Relations (Switzerland)
In the period from 2007 to 2008 he worked in Agip KCO as an adviser on interaction with non-governmental organizations. From 2008 to 2010 he held a post of project manager of JSC "NC "SEC "Caspian". From 2010 to 2012 he worked in private sector companies in Atyrau, was a regional consultant to the OECD in Atyrau oblast on the pilot project "Regional Competitiveness of Kazakhstan". He also taught at the Atyrau State University n.a. Kh. Dosmukhamedov, in Atyrau University of Oil and Gas. From 2012 to 2013 he was a Director of Atyrau regional branch of the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan "Atameken". From 2013 to 2018 he headed the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Atyrau Oblast.
He is a grant-holder of the John Smith Trust scholarship program for young leaders in the UK, an international exchange program for "Entrepreneurship and SME development" in the US, training programs for young leaders of countries to promote the SME in Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency, completed an internship under the MASHAV program in the development of entrepreneurship in Israel. He is a deputy of Atyrau regional maslikhat, independent director of JSC "NC" SEC "Atyrau", member of the supervisory board of Atyrau State University
In his new position, Asylbek Dzhakiyev is responsible for working with major oil and gas operators on the development of local content, supporting small and medium-sized businesses and promoting oilfield services projects.
