III INTERNATIONAL FORUM "EURASIAN WEEK" TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN

From 22 to 24 October 2018 in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia), the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter referred to as the Union, the EAEU) is holding the third international forum "Eurasian Week".

The Eurasian Week is an annual event aimed at developing the economy, investment and export potential of the EAEU, and following the results of the work of the previous two Forums proved to be the main business event of the Union's integration association.

It is planned that the events of the business program of the Forum will be held in three main areas - the strategic, industry and business track, and it will bring together more than 2,500 participants - representatives of government and business, specialists from development institutions, financial regulators, and experts from the EAEU member states and the partner countries of the Union.

Within the framework of the Eurasian Week, it is planned to discuss the future of the EAEU in the light of world challenges, the Great Eurasian partnership, the processes of interregional cooperation in the field of industry, competition in the Union, the prospects for crypto-currencies and attributes of the digital economy, the development of common standards and harmonization of legislation, business dialogue on tax administration without damage to cooperation.

Industry sessions and discussions are aimed at cooperation developement and expanding export opportunities in the field of information technology, light industry, agriculture, in the market of pharmaceutical products and medical products, jewelry and lighting products.

Besides, sessions and discussions are planned at the site of the Eurasian Week to consider the export and cooperation potential of the EAEU, and a large-scale exhibition will be held where more than 120 companies will take part in six priority sectors:

  • Organic agriculture;
  • High-tech light industry;
  • Production of building materials;
  • Pharmaceuticals and medical equipment;
  • Technologies for industry (including IT, precision engineering, instrumentation, etc.);
  • Jewelery industry.

Traditionally, the "Eurasian Week" will hold discussions on cooperation with the partner countries of the EAEU. The main events will be devoted to China, with which the Agreement on trade and economic cooperation was signed in May this year, as well as to Iran, with which the Interim Agreement leading to the formation of a free trade zone was signed.

The Eurasian Week is also a platform for direct dialogue between entrepreneurs with regulators at the national and supranational level, which allows solving practical questions that arise for entrepreneurs, expanding business contacts in the EAEU and third countries.

In this regard, the Forum gives domestic entrepreneurs the opportunity to receive answers to their questions directly from representatives of government authorities and development institutions, financial regulators, experts from the EAEU and third countries.

At the same time, the Forum promotes the search for common practical solutions and business development, so that producers and suppliers of products from different countries receive maximum useful information and expand business ties for successful operation in the market of the EAEU.

NCE RK "Atameken" invites domestic companies to use the opportunity provided by the Eurasian Week Forum site to establish business contacts, develop cooperation with representatives of the business environment of the EAEU member states, and expand the sales markets for domestic products.
