"Nur Zholy" new vehicle pass to be opened on the Kazakhstan-Chinese border
"Western Europe-Western China" is a transnational infrastructure project and transport corridor, which is designed to strengthen the links between Europe and Asia. The motorway with a total length of 8,445 km (2,233 - across Russia, 2,787 - Kazakhstan and 3,425 - China) will start in St. Petersburg and stretch through dozens of Russian, Kazakhstani and Chinese cities to Lianyungang city on the Yellow Sea coast.
Now, within the framework of this project, it is planned to open a new automobile checkpoint "Nur Zholy" (RK) - "Khorgos" (PRC). The completion of this project will mark the full opening of the "Western Europe-Western China" international transit corridor. One of the socio-economic effects of the opening of checkpoints is the increase in the volume of transit traffic in the direction of the China-Kazakhstan-Russia-European Union.
According to the information of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a new customs post was assigned with the code: "39855410 - the customs post "Nur Zholy ".
It should be noted that starting from September 25, 2018, the functioning of the old border checkpoint "Khorgos" (RK) - Khorgos (PRC) will be stopped.
