"EURASIAN WEEK". WHAT WERE KAZAKHSTANI COMPANIES GOOD AT?
The IIIrd “Eurasian Week” International Forum organized by the EAEU on October 24 ended in Yerevan. A total of 2,000 participants from Member States and guests from 21 countries took part in the forum.
For the first time, the Forum included an exhibition of manufacturers of the Union countries, in which Alageum Electric, Hyundai Com Trans Kazakhstan LLP, Utaria Group of Companies and Recycling Company LLP and other domestic companies took part. The NCE RK "Atameken" thanks domestic entrepreneurs for representing Kazakhstan at this exhibition. The forum also became a venue for the next meeting of the EAEU with the participation of the First Deputy Prime Ministers of the EAEU Member States.
The focus of the forum is aimed at solving real business problems in terms of removing obstacles and restrictions in carrying out foreign trade transactions and consistent liberalization of legal relations within the Union. The participants of the event found answers to the questions of how to get on the supermarket shelf and how to choose the right market for the exporter, and also held the workshop “Exit session of the public reception unit on competition and antimonopoly regulation”.
One of the main events of the forum was the final of the competition of innovative projects "Eurasian digital platforms", which was attended by Kazakhstani entrepreneurs. In the final, 20 companies from 5 states competed in four nominations.
In the nomination “The digital future of the EAEU” for young developers, teams, startups, the Kazakhstani company Apilog.kz got the victory. This company has created a cloud service for the digitization of transport logistics, freight, cross-border trade with intelligent routing and invoice tracking functions.
In the second nomination “The Best Digital Projects of the EAEU”, the Smart Satu project took part. Which is an interstate b2b platform that unites manufacturers, distributors, outlets (orders, payments, logistics) and optimizes their costs.
The best technological solutions for the implementation of the EAEU digital agenda” is a nomination for software developers, vendors, integrators. Kazakhstani developers presented software for identifying risks in government procurement. This is an analytical system for identifying economic and corruption risks in planning, processing and paying for public procurement using machine learning algorithms and big data analysis.
The most youth was the nomination “The best game for children and teenagers on the subject of the EAEU’s digital agenda”. In this nomination a game with characters from the cartoon “Masha and the Bear” was presented, which teaches children cooking in the process of interaction with their favorite characters.
The forum included a plenary session “The real economy of the EAEU: capacity building in the context of integration”. The participants of this event discussed the factors of favorable development of the business climate, opportunities for export growth, principles for eliminating administrative barriers, as well as improving the efficiency of transport infrastructure and introducing digital solutions. In general, the forum's program covered the main areas of integration work within the EAEU, including:
- processes of interregional cooperation in the field of industry;
- cooperation between the EAEU member states;
- international relations;
- agriculture;
- traceability of goods;
- technical regulations;
- competition on the territory of the Union;
- prospects of cryptocurrency;
- attributes of the digital economy;
- development of uniform standards and harmonization of legislation, etc.
A high-level, executives were also shown with a presentation of the development paradigm of the EAEU in closed format, taking into account the digital transformation of the Eurasian Union. More than 30 issues were put on the agenda of the meeting of the Council, the key issues of which were the use of tariff concessions, the implementation of the digital agenda of the EAEU, the application of anti-dumping measures against herbicides, etc.
