November 23 is deadline when entrepreneurs can submit proposals for the development of national standards for 2019.

At the site of NCE RK "Atameken" with the participation of representatives of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology and business entities a regular discussion of standardization issues took place. This time the topic of discussion was the draft State Standardization Plan for 2019.

Today, the state pays special attention to the development of standardization, and budget funds are allocated annually for the development of 1,000 standards.

Standardization is certainly one of the main tools for improving competitiveness and promoting domestic products.

With the adoption of amendments to the legislation in the field of procurement, the role of national standards has increased even more - enterprises using national standards in the production of procured goods, works and services, in the absence of ST RK, using intergovernmental standards, will be allowed to participate in government procurement.

During the meeting, an analysis of the submitted proposals and proposals for inclusion in the Standardization Plan was presented and the main reasons for the rejection of applications, such as duplication, lack of a source and sufficient justification, were noted.

Representatives of the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee explained the key approaches and priorities in the formation of the State Standardization Plan.

Given the high interest of the business, it was decided to extend the approval period of the State Standardization Plan until the end of November of this year. Realizing the important role of national standards in improving the quality and competitiveness of domestic products, the National Chamber once again urges businesses to identify areas that require the development of national standards and submit appropriate proposals for 2019 before November 23.

We ask the business community not to stand aside and be active in the formation of the State Standardization Plan for 2019.
