EAEU digital agenda: there is need in timely sharing of the opinions
On the initiative of Atameken, a meeting was held with the Member of the Board (Minister) on domestic markets, informatization, information and communication technologies Karine Minasyan.
Participation in the meeting from the Kazakh side was taken by the Deputy Chairman of the Scientific and Production Enterprise "Atameken" Yuliya Yakupbaeva and the Vice-Minister of the EIC, Daryn Tuyakov.
Mrs. Minister and her team briefed the participants on the progress of work on key initiatives under the EEU Digital Agenda:
- Interoperability
- Data turnover
- Digital traceability
- Digital trading
- Digital transport corridors
- Regulatory sandbox
- Industrial cooperation
- Digital Technology Transfer
Representatives of the Kazakh side reported that the Kazakh business community is ready to more actively participate in the processes of discussing the digital agenda of the EAEU. There is interest in the implementation of specific projects. At the same time, it is important to more quickly coordinate and exchange experience in each area, not only between government agencies of the participating countries, but also with active representatives of business and business associations.
“Union countries are at different stages of introducing digital technologies. At the same time, in each of the countries, both positive experience and problematic issues on key initiatives have been accumulated. Before the implementation of common projects, it would be useful to diagnose the ecosystem and create a project office for the exchange of information between the participants. This would allow to move more quickly, ”said Yulia Yakupbaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Scientific Production Enterprise RK Atameken.
The parties also discussed current issues on product labeling projects and digital transport corridors, barriers to general economic activity.
