SAMRUK-KAZYNA SIGNS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH CABLE AND WIRE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURERS
The Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna Joint Stock Company has signed the strategic partnership agreements with Kazakhstan's cable and wire products manufacturers within the approved procurement strategy.
The Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs jointly with the Association of Cable Plants of Kazakhstan contributed to developing the category strategy for the procurement of cable products.
“The signed agreements allow Kazakhstani producers to receive guaranteed sales and the Fund’s companies to work with the reliable suppliers with quality products and transparency in pricing,” General Director of Samruk-Kazyna Contract LLP Kuat Kozhakhmetov said.
According to Director of the Procurement and Local Content Department of the Atameken NCE Timur Duyssebekov, this is the part of the collaborative work of the Atameken and the Fund to improve the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry.
“Thanks to the collaboration the Procurement Policy includes the priority of the domestic manufacturers, the regulation of terms of signing of delivery-acceptance certificates and payment, the category strategy of procurement among the domestic manufacturers, updating long-term agreements, the possibility of conclusion offtake agreements,” Timur Duyssebekov said.
The representatives of manufacturers of cable and wire products guarantee the necessary volumes, quality and competitive prices.
“The selection of qualified manufacturers conducted by the Fund and the Association with the assistance of the Atameken will significantly reduce the risks of technological accidents and human casualties,” General Director of Kazenergokabel JSC Vladimir Bobrov said.
“Guaranteed sales in the amount of 6 billion tenge will allow restoring the industry, which lost up to 40 per cent in 2017-2018. These agreements are very important for industry. We will provide the necessary quality and agreed volumes at competitive prices,” President of the Association of Cable Plants of Kazakhstan Rafael Urazbakhtin said.
