Atameken to assist in solving wastepaper export issues
The Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with representatives of government agencies, the Association of Packers of Kazakhstan and the pulp and paper enterprises, which addressed issues of administering wastepaper transporting from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Remind that order No. 89 of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of February 19, 2019 “On Certain issues of regulating the export of regenerated paper, cardboard, waste paper and waste” came into force.
As part of the discussion of the Packers Association of Kazakhstan ALE it was proposed to work out the issue of opening a waste paper processing plant in the western regions of Kazakhstan with the involvement of Kazakhstan's development institutions, as well as foreign and domestic investors.
“The Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is ready to conduct quarterly monitoring and analysis of the interaction of Kazakhstani processors and collectors of waste paper, hold a meeting on problematic issues related to the export of waste paper from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” director of the Department of Manufacturing Industryof the Atameken Arman Mambetaev said.
The joint work of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the business community contributed to the adoption of this order on restriction of export of strategically important raw materials for the pulp and paper industry of Kazakhstan.
