Kazakhstani manufacturers present school uniform at exhibition in Nur-Sultan
School uniform exhibition is held in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Although there are enough stands of domestic sewing enterprises, that manufacture school uniform, Kazakh companies cover only 7 per cent of the market. The school uniform is imported mostly from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Russia.
“Unfortunately, Kazakhstanis do not always know that domestic companies produce a quality uniform at affordable prices, and they buy imported ones by habit. Such exhibitions open up the domestic market to the consumer,” Assem Zhumatayeva, a representative of the Association of Light Industrial Enterprises, said.
According to the approved requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the school uniform should be blue-colored and in classic cut and style, and also meet certain standards. The design is the choice of school.
The prices in the Kazakhstani market of school uniforms may vary from 8 thousand tenge to 40 thousand tenge. For example, the budget option - a suit and tie of the Pavlodar manufacturer will cost 8,500 thousand tenge, the student’s everyday style can be completed with a light jacket at 7,000 tenge.
“We have a great experience in making school and office clothes, we have been in the market since 2011. Our main advantage is high-quality fabric. All our fabrics are certified, bought in Russia, and you can choose any texture and color,” Yuliya Yunina, marketer of Sens Fashion, said.
A set of a skirt and jacket will cost from 10,000 tenge, a skirt with a vest from 8,000 tenge.
“We visit the exhibition with parents of our school. First of all, we pay attention to the quality, The school uniform should be comfortable and beautiful. Of course, we pay attention to the price. We are surprised by the quality of the goods and variety of models,” Aisoltan Sokha, a participant of the Board of Trustees of №37 school, said.
The Kazlegprom-Almaty company offers shoes in addition to school uniform. A pair of shoes for boy costs 9,000 tenge, for girl - 11,500 tenge.
“We have brand stores with three lines of school clothing: the youngest, middle and senior groups, as well as shoes. On average, a suit for a boy will cost 14,000 tenge, the most expensive - 19,500 tenge. Men's shirt costs 3,900 tenge. The uniform is comfortable,” Assel Sabitova, a representative of Kazlegprom – Almaty, said.
The price of sportswear of the Zibroo brand starts from 9,900 tenge. Also, domestic manufacturers offer a quality logo at a price of 350 tenge.
“Our company manufactured Kazakhstani sportsmen’s uniform for the Universiade. An athlete suit will cost 27,000 tenge, it is comfortable. The fabric is lycra and polyester. The company takes orders for tailoring sportswear, we help to develop a special design. For example, Nazarbayev Intellectual School ordered its sports wear from Zibroo,” Ekaterina Akpynar, a representative of Zibroo, said.
“In Kazakhstan there are enterprises that produce fabrics. But the fabrics necessary for tailoring school uniforms are mainly purchased in Russia and Turkey. If you support domestic entrepreneurs, we will develop the production of the necessary fabrics. This will affect the cost of goods. We would like to increase the coverage of Kazakhstani market with domestic school uniforms up to 30 per cent,” Assem Zhumataeva said.
