Timur Kulibayev: Manufacturing enterprises should be provided by targeted support

The committees of the Presidium of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan have discussed the issues of import substitution in the manufacturing industry.

Chairman of the Atameken Presidium Timur Kulibayev noted that special emphasis in the work of the Chamber is import substitution, which can be achieved through participation in public procurement, localization and modernization of production. There are three main business problems: lack of working capital, problems with the sale of products and the supply of raw materials.

On behalf of Elbasy, a program was approved for lending to domestic enterprises producing goods of the “economy of simple things” for 600 billion tenge to solve the problem of lack of funds. Entrepreneurs will be able to obtain loans from seconn-tier banks at 8%, including the development of the production of commodities and semi-finished products (fabrics, accessories, board material, polyethylene, etc.) for the production of finished products.

Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Committee Meiram Pshembaev noted that in addition to the program of preferential crediting, Roadmaps are being approved - a comprehensive solution to the problems and a visual representation of the step-by-step scenario of the development of industries.

 "Project office to the Atameken has been created for the development of branches of the economy of simple things with the participation of government agencies, development institutions and the Association of Financiers. Its work is aimed at solving complex system problems of the manufacturing industry, the agro-industrial sector and tourism, including the development of the raw material base, the fight against gray imports, and the marketing of products,” Timur Kulibayev said.
