Continued monitoring of business support efficiency is necessary to ensure its effectiveness – Eldar Zhumagaziev
Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs is ready to analyze the effectiveness of all measures of state support of business for their further improvement, deputy chairman of the Board of Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Eldar Zhumagaziev said at a press conference in the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“We are ready to conduct a full analysis of business support. Perhaps it will be a quarterly or annual analysis and, if some measures do not work, it will be possible to introduce new effective tools into the program. Digitalization is underway, a very large flow of new technologies comes from abroad, the liquidity of the enterprise itself depends on the technological effectiveness of the processes, without this they cannot survive on the market. Therefore, we are ready to act as an operator of monitoring measures to support entrepreneurs in order to timely improve existing programs ” Eldar Zhumagaziev said.
The speaker shared the results of non-financial support provided by Atameken as part of the Business Roadmap 2020. Thus, over the past four years, more than 174,000 businessmen took advantage of free services at the Business Service Centers, including 19,000 who got the service online.
“The results of such support are obvious: more than 46,000 new enterprises opened, more than 8,000 enterprises expanded their business, and more than 23,000 entrepreneurs were able to receive funding in the amount of more than 206 billion tenge. Over 74,000 people studied at the Business School, 1,673 people - under the Business Connections program, including 133 entrepreneurs, who had apprenticeship in Germany,” Eldar Zhumagaziev said.
This year Atameken has launched online courses on business basics as a component of Business Advisor. Now a novice entrepreneur can pass the test after the course and get a certificate of attendance. More than 900 people have already taken advantage of this service.
At the same time, according to the speaker, today entrepreneurs need additional support for guaranteeing loans.
“According to the survey, 66.7% entrepreneurs say that banks are denied loans because of the illiquidity of the collateral. This is a very strong obstacle. Another 67% say that their pledge is outside the city and for this reason it is not accepted at banks. Atameken asks colleagues (MNE RK, - editor’s note) to help with additional measures to guarantee. We have a Project Office for the economy of simple things and we see that most companies have no collateral. They could be the drivers of the economy in the processing and recycling. We need to take new measures in the framework of the Business Roadmap 2025 program. We will discuss all these measures and propose them to state bodies when developing a new program,” Eldar Zhumagaziev said.
He also stressed that Atameken transfers all non-financial support translates into online mode. The Atameken Services platform works and is constantly being improved and businessmen can receive free services without leaving office or home.
According to him, 900,000 entrepreneurs will use the service via opening their private offices on the platform of Atameken Services by autumn. Atameken will be able to get feedback from every entrepreneur directly.
