Almaty to host semifinal of Eurasian Digital Platforms competition

The semi-final of the annual competition of innovative projects “Eurasian digital platforms” will be held in Almaty on June 13, 2019 as part of the 2019 data center conference.

The aim of the competition is to identify companies and projects able to make a substantial contribution to the development of digital interaction environment on the basis of integrated information system of the EAEU with regard to implementation of the Main Directions of the Union’s Digital Agenda, , as well as expand the functionality of the EAEU integrated information system.

This year, applications from all the EAEU countries have been submitted for the participation in the competition in three sectors: industry, agriculture and trade.

The semi-finals will take place within the leading business fora in each of the Member States:

•  in Russia (May 23, Innopolis) -  2019 Digital Industry of Industrial Russia conference;

•  in Belarus (June 6, Minsk) -  2019 Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week exhibition;

•  in Kazakhstan (June 13, Almaty) – 2019 Data Center conference;

•  in Armenia (September 13, Yerevan) – 2019 ARMENIA EXPO forum;

• in Kyrgyzstan (September 25, Bishkek) – 2019 Eurasian Week forum.

The final competition will be held on September 27 in Bishkek in the framework of the 2019 Eurasian week forum.  15 projects will be participating in the finals at the Eurasian Week Forum.

The winners of the Competition will be able to offer their projects for implementation not only in their own country, but also to enter Eurasian digital ecosystems as part of the implementation of the EEU digital agenda.

The winners will have the chance to obtain international and government support and attract investment and other forms of assistance from leading digital corporations, venture funds, accelerators, and industry associations.
