The issues of implementation of the EAEU Digital Agenda were considered during the meeting of representatives of the IT-community of Kazakhstan, business, NC KTZ JSC, Zerde National Infocommunication Holding JSC, Kazakhtelecom JSC. The meeting was held on the basis of the Astana Hub International technopark for IT-startups.

The organizer was the Department of Economic Integration of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Chamber chose Astana Hub as a platform for meeting representatives of the Kazakhstani IT-market and startup projects on the EAEU Digital Agenda, taking into account its role in the development and piloting of IT solutions and technological projects.

The speakers spoke about the work carried out within the framework of the EAEU Digital Agenda, including the development of the ecosystem of Digital Transport Corridors (Transtelecom JSC), the formation of the digital trade ecosystem of the EAEU (Association of Digital Kazakhstan), the development of Kazakhstan blockchain (Association of developers and users of BlockchainKZ technologies).

Representatives of the National Chamber told about the existing procedures for submission of digital initiatives to the Eurasian Economic Commission for consideration and decision making on the project implementation.

By organizing this meeting, the National Chamber wanted to solve important tasks for the business. First of all, to inform and involve the Kazakh IT-community in the process of development of initiatives and projects within the EAEU at the initial stage of their consideration. Secondly, to activate the work of the business community on the submission of initiatives and ready-made IT solutions for the possibility of their implementation in the EAEU.

In turn, the participants of the meeting asked questions to the speakers and identified existing problems. According to the business community, the main problem is that the Kazakhstani business is poorly informed about the EAEU Digital Agenda. Kazakhstan Association of IT-companies proposed to create a single working platform under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of Eurasian economic integration, including the Digital Agenda of the EAEU.

The Chamber took into account the problems of business and noted that a Project Office on the digital agenda of the EAEU was established under the National Chamber of Commerce. All interested business representatives were invited to take part directly in the meetings of the Project Office, where the experts study in detail all the issues on the EAEU Digital Agenda.

As a result of the meeting, the participants exchanged contacts, in particular, such organizations as Kazakhstani Information Technologies, LINCOMPANY, KOMPRA, KPMG Digital Village, and others expressed interest in further work on the consideration of projects within the framework of the EEU Digital Agenda.
