On August 29-30, the first Altyn Oimaq forum-exhibition of light industry enterprises of Kazakhstan will be held in Nur-Sultan.

The forum will include master classes with the performances of representatives of Fashion Academy a Paris, the Polimoda fashion institute, Eurasian Fashion Week and the LC Waikiki (LCW) Turkish brand for enterprises and guests of the forum.

According to Lazzat Ramazanova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the main goal of the forum is to introduce manufacturers, get feedback and develop a set of measures to support light industry.

"Within two days, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to establish contacts and improve their skills. To this end, we have invited traders, retailers, and buyers. First of all, they will bring technology, not products. We hope that the systematization and networking platform will become a stimulus for the growth of production," Lazzat Ramazanova said.

Another peculiarity of the forum-exhibition is the desire to unite artisans, who, according to the speaker, is perceived today as an element of tourism promotion. Especially for the guests of the forum, there will be lectures by famous designers and specialists, who will tell about the new mechanisms of promotion, address the issues of copyright, branding and the phenomenon of the brand "Made in Italy".

Kanat Baitov, Chairman of the Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that the forum-exhibition will be a special event for the industry.

"We will show what we have done. Unfortunately, only a few people know our manufacturers. At the same time, we have enterprises that have already proved their quality in the market. For example, we have the Mimioriki brand. We already receive complaints that their products are faked. Another domestic brand is  AZALA Textile, which produces towels and bathrobes, and deliver them to hotels," Kanat Baitov said.

At the same time, the Ministry set itself the task to review a number of measures of state support, and most importantly to reduce the number of counterfeit products.

"We do not say, wear only Kazakhstani clothes, we say, wear quality clothes. Today, standards are being developed, for example, for school uniforms. Previously, goods from other countries were freely entering the markets. Now we will be asking for quality certificates and screening out low-quality goods. In parallel, the ministry is studying Uzbekistan's experience in terms of home-support and processing. Unfortunately, we are 80% dependent on imported raw materials. And now we face the task of solving this issue," Kanat Baitov said.

The exhibition will showcase the products of domestic producers from all regions of the country. Guests of the exhibition will be able to buy the presented goods at the producer's price:

Home textiles (tablecloths, bed linen, towels, curtains);

Clothes, hats, socks;

school uniform;

accessories;

Craftsmen' works;

shoes, belts, bags.

 A drawing will be held especially for customers. Kazakhstani designers will show the works to the guests of the event.
