3258 people from the regions of Kazakhstan are trained within the frames of the project “Bastau Business”

The project “Bastau Business” is being implemented in 80 districts of the republic

The project "Bastau Business", which was implemented in the pilot mode last year, as of 1st of January 2017 became a tool for teaching the basics of entrepreneurship on a national scale after inclusion in the Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship in December 2016.

The project “Bastau Business” should cover 15,000 unemployed and self-employed in 80 districts of Kazakhstan. The project results in the launch of 3,000 new business entities and, accordingly, the creation of new jobs.

The largest number of covered areas are in South Kazakhstan (8 districts), Almaty (7 districts), East Kazakhstan (7 districts), Karaganda region (districts), the smallest number in Mangistau region (4 districts).

The best business coaches were selected. The selection process was in two stages. As a result, out of 134 business trainers, 96 business coaches continued their two-week training", - says Eldar Zhumagaziev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of NCE RK Atameken.

"In total, 4118 people participated in the testing phase, of which 3258 people are currently being trained in the first stream of training (in each region six stages are envisaged until the end of this year) ", - said Zhumagaziev.

At the moment, the training process is on in 74 districts of 14 regions. In the remaining six districts (Almaty oblast), the project started on 26th of April 2017.

To increase the effectiveness of training, business coaches are provided with unified teaching and methodological materials: a training manual has been prepared - a guide for the business coach, a workbook in Kazakh and Russian.

"After the practical training business coaches (March of this year) will study remotely such areas as the basics of financial modeling, the basics of agricultural cooperation, taxation for SMEs, the psychology of business thinking, the features of online testing and others", - summed up the vice-president of the Board of the National Chamber.
