Kazakhstani tourists have already left the country of pyramids
Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development recommended to stop the domestic flights to the airports of Egypt. Travel companies ordered to refrain from selling tour packages, the suspension will continue until the announcement of preliminary results of the investigation of the crash of an aircraft "Kogalymavia," according to the press service of the Ministry for Investment and Development.
These issues were discussed at the working meeting of the Committee of Civil Aviation with the participation of representatives of airlines and travel companies. The Committee presented the assessment of threats to the security of Kazakhstani air carriers at the airport in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), undertaken on the basis of the ICAO standard method of risk management and national rules on aviation security. The evaluation identified a high level of threat to aviation security for Kazakhstani airlines flying to Egypt.
According to travel agencies, tour packages to Sharm el-Sheikh were acquired by 800 Kazakhstani tourists, who planned to visit Egypt until mid-January 2016. According to the Ministry for Investment and Development, 233 compatriots are now on vacation in Sharm El Sheikh. On November 17 they will return by the charter flight of “SCAT”.
