Fast food booths on wheels will be allowed in Astana
1000 trading places for street trade will be provided to metropolitan entrepreneurs
Critical issues related to the lack of places for organization and conduction of street trade acquired a systemic nature.
This year the city administration has allocated 274 places for carrying out street trade. However, judging by applications of entrepreneurs, there are not enough places.
During the study of numerous applications from SME, the experts of the Metropolitan Chamber has repeatedly raised questions with the Board for the Protection of the rights of entrepreneurs and representatives of local executive bodies. As a result of systematic work on the proposal of the Chamber responded the representatives of the Office of Entrepreneurship and Industry of Astana and JSC "National Company" Socio-entrepreneurial corporation “Astana”, which developed a special program for the development of street trade entities. The working group explained the conditions for obtaining trade places to metropolitan entrepreneurs during the expository seminar.
"These places stipulate the deployment of a specific object bound to the place. Then, the authorization indicates the type of activity, number of seats and location of the object. All the outlets must comply with the architectural appearance of the city, as well as all requirements of sanitary and fire norms", - said Deputy Head of the Office of Entrepreneurship and Industry under akimat of Astana Ryskul Kaugabaeva.
The objects of street trade include snack street vendors on wheels, a mobile coffee shop, mobile car services, grain and vegetable stalls, flower souvenir shops and street foods. Unfortunately, not all of them now meet the required standards, the established requirements are quite often violated, and all goes into spontaneous food trade. Food products are sold by individuals on the streets, in the areas of in-town. When selling food, they commit gross violations of sanitary rules and norms. Products sold in "spontaneous" rigidly violate trade regulations, they act as potential threats to the emergence of infectious diseases, which generally adversely affect the epidemiological situation. And this mistake should be corrected immediately ahead of the upcoming international exhibition, according to representatives of the city administration.
In this context, the purpose of clarification and detailed information, as well as advising businesses on conditions of participation in this program, the working group organized a reception for SMEs on the principle of a "single window". Consultations are held daily from Monday to Wednesday from 09:00 to 18:00 at the Center for servicing of entrepreneurs in Astana 8 "A", Kazhimukana street.

An individual contract will be signed with each participant, under which a land plot will be leased to entrepreneurs for a period of 5-7 years.
As a result, entrepreneurs will get guarantee of stability in work and will invest in the street trade outlet, taking into account long-term lease.
