Agricultural producers of Zhambyl region successfully compete with Kyrgyz competitors in the EAEU
Regional farmers saturate not only the domestic market but they also export their products. In particular, we are talking about onions, about which the Akim of Zhambyl region Karim Kokrekbaev spoke today at a briefing at the Service of Central Communications. Answering the question of whether Zhambyl producers will be able to compete after Kyrgyzstan’s accession the EAEU, which borders with the southern region, he replied in the affirmative. "Now, on the contrary, our local budget began to increase, it is higher the Republican", - said the Akim.
Commenting on the situation with the import of Kyrgyz goods, inevitably coming to the region, the head of the region was laconic: "We have our own producers".
For example, we actively use a drip irrigation technology in agriculture, particularly in Kordai, Merke, Shuy, Saryzhuvalinsk, Baizak districts. "This year, we received 80-100 tons of onion from one hectare thanks to the drip irrigation, as well as other vegetable products", - added the Akim. This year, the region has sent 1034 carriages of onions to Russia". So we have enough of our own products, there is no need to run to Kyrgyzstan", - concluded K. Kokrekbaev.
