The business community of Almaty stands for elections
RCE discussed the need for early elections to Mazhilis of the Parliament of RK and Maslikhats of all levels
The global financial and economic crisis has significantly affected the domestic entrepreneurs, forcing to look for new ways of solving problematic issues, new projects and new investors. Global economic challenges faced by Kazakhstan, require a clear and rapid response. In this context, the holding of early elections and the formation of a new Parliament, representative bodies in the regions will demonstrate national trust for further reforms, implementation of tasks in order to exit the global crisis. This conclusion was made by the business community, the participants of the Assembly for the special elections to Mazhilis of the Parliament of RK and Maslikhats of all levels, scheduled for 20th of March 2016.
"The world order is changing and the system of local governance also needs to be reconstructed. People who will be able to bring tangible benefits to the society must loin the representative bodies. Entrepreneurs are the most active part of society. Who else creates jobs and, in fact, sustains the state's economy? Speaking to you today, I urge you to support this initiative and to take an active part in the upcoming elections", - stated the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Yuri Tleumuratov.
The representatives of small, medium and large businesses of Almaty also expressed their position on holding early elections: General Director of LLP "Concern" Bakarassov" Elena Bakarasova, the chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses Vladislav Choi, the businessman and chairman of the Public Council for the Support of Entrepreneurship in the Almaty city branch of the party "Nur Otan" Sergey Kozlov, the President of JSC "Kelet" Alexander Papp, general director of the" National Center of Fashion "Makpal" Basilya Abdilmanova.
"Today we are experiencing very difficult times. The crisis affected our production, imported raw materials that we buy in US dollars have risen in price by 67%. My company employs 20 people, whom I can not streamline as I an aware of my moral responsibility to them. Every day we continue to work, despite the difficulties. Under these conditions, the elections are more relevant than ever. But with the condition that the elected deputies should be the ones, who really deserve it, well-known in their fields of activity, people with expertise in dealing with crucial issues", - said Basilya Abdilmanova.
"The most important role in the practical stage of execution of the Plan of the nation "100 concrete steps” on implementation of 5 institutional reforms" was assigned to small and medium-sized businesses. The future of the country and people will depend on how develops business in difficult economic conditions, what real help and support it will get from the state and financial institutions, we can state this without exaggeration", - concluded the Chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Yerlan Stambekov.
At the end of the event, participants supported the initiative and gave 100% of votes in favor of the early elections.
