In total, the meeting was attended by over 100 businessmen of Kazakhstan and Egypt, who have had the opportunity to present their own business projects in the course of bilateral meetings in the B2B format.

The agenda of both parties included a wide range of topical issues of the pharmaceutical industry and tourism, the problematic issues in the field of trade, oil, gas, and there were suggested ways for their solution. The parties also examined the prospects in the field of transport logistics from Kazakhstan to Egypt. Particular attention is paid to the process of privatization in Kazakhstan. Egyptian side was presented with attractive investment projects in Kazakhstan.

"In light of new realities, it is time to use every opportunity, to give a new turn to the revival of bilateral relations. During the years of cooperation, domestic entrepreneurs have shown special interest to the development of trade and economic relations with Egypt in terms of exports of Kazakh grain. Exports reached a peak in 2008, when the Kazakh exporters sent to the Egyptian market 744 thousand tonnes of grains at the sum of 215 million US dollars. However, subsequently there was a sharp decline, in the past 2 years the export of Kazakh grain has completely stopped. Meanwhile, 50% of exports from Egypt are pharmaceutical products. In this regard, the Egyptian businessmen have shown interest in the implementation of joint investment projects in the industry in Kazakhstan with the subsequent re-export to the countries of the Eurasian Union ", - said the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan Meirbek Mazhitov.
