Countries of the Scandinavian Peninsula are interested in the implementation of business projects in Aktobe region

This was stated by ambassadors of Norway, Sweden and Finland during the meeting at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe region, which was attended by about 20 representatives of medium and large businesses.

The head of the Regional Chamber Nurlybek Mukanov shared history and current state of affairs in the economy of the region, he outlined the potential areas of investment in the region. It was also noted that partnership in the framework of exchange of experience is quite important for us.

To the attention of the guests was brought the fact that in 2015 were introduced changes to the law on attraction of investments in Kazakhstan, which provides tax incentives, subsidies in the amount up to 30% of the total cost. In addition, the Government covers all the costs if the investment exceeds 13 million US dollars, as well as guaranteed security for investors.

There is a Centre for servicing of investors in Aktobe, whose staff provides assistance, as they say, from start to finish, until the launch of the project. There is also an industrial area where there is good infrastructure, which is necessary for investors.

In turn, the Ambassador of Norway to Kazakhstan Ole Johan Bernie noted that his country is interested in cooperation in oil, gas and mining sector. In addition, the Norway exports grain from our country, instead it imports seafood.

The Swedish Ambassador Christian Camille noted that information about the potential of Aktobe region is being collected now, and there is an intention of his compatriots to invest in projects in agriculture and mining sectors.

It is important to note that the region's trade with these countries is about US $ 150 million, but this figure does not fully reflect the economic potential of Aktobe region. There are many possibilities for mutually beneficial cooperation, according to the parties. Scandinavian businessmen are interested in investing in oil and gas, mining industries, agriculture, fisheries, chemical industry, processing of solid waste.
