Mazhilis deputies say that creation of a Single Customs and Tax Code is a significant process
Today, at the opening of the first session of the Parliament of Kazakhstan of the VI convocation, the President Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the deputies to develop a Single Tax and Customs Code. According to the deputy of the Mazhilis Azat Peruashev, this request is overdue. "It is clear that this work primarily concerns with the competent authorities. Today, these services are combined into a single committee of state revenue and they collaborate in between them", - said Mazhilisman.
Thus, Azat Peruashev noted that the work on the possible amalgamation of tax and customs policy won’t be a cakewalk.
"I think it will be quite difficult, because the tax and customs duties are of fiscal nature, but the methodology is different. Today, there are problems with harmonization of their databases, the flow of information. This is a huge work, but will work on it", - concluded the deputy.
