Businessmen of Ivanovo intend to continue close colloboration with the Kazakh colleagues

This was stated during the working meeting with the delegation from Kazakhstan, which recently paid visit to Ivanovo (Russia).

Both sides supported their intentions by the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, which were concluded by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Ivanovo region and the Association of trading companies of Kazakhstan.

However, up to this point, the trade relations of the Ivanovo region and Kazakhstan went well. Thus, according to the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Ivanovo region, in 2014 the turnover between the Ivanovo region and the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to more than 3.4 billion rubles, in the first nine months of 2015 - more than a billion rubles. Basically, textile products, machinery, equipment and vehicles, chemical products, rubber are exported from Ivanovo to Kazakhstan. Cotton, electrical machinery, equipment, tools, plastic are mostly imported from Kazakhstan to this city

According to the parties, the signed protocol of intent will allow the further dynamic development of inter-regional relations.

This is confirmed by the opening of trade center "Goods in Kazakhstan" in the town of Ivanovo of Ivanovo region, which was opened with the participation of representative of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" in the Russian Federation.

As it was noted by the Vice-President of the Association of Trade Enterprises of Kazakhstan Zhibek Azhibaeva, there are a lot of companies that are interested in cooperation with the Ivanovo enterprises in Kazakhstan, namely, import of textile and supply of domestic products to the markets of this region.

In turn, local companies were able to present their products at the opening of Ivanovo Trade Center. Founder of the Trade Center “Goods in Kazakhstan” Aizhan Shebanova said that in the future she plans to open a store for retail sale of Kazakhstani goods in Ivanovo.

It is worth noting that there is potential for the realization of Kazakh products: the population of the Ivanovo region exceeds more than one million people.

At the opening of the Centre there was a meeting in the B2B format in the course of which the representatives of the South Kazakhstan region presented promising investment projects and economic potential of the region.

The Russian side expressed interest in the development of economic cooperation with the South-Kazakhstan region in the field of textile production. They also discussed issues of development of the tourism cluster, exports of South-Kazakh agricultural products to the Russian market. In addition, the Ivanovo State Power University intends to consider the possibility of study of Kazakhstani students.

In turn, the businessmen of Ivanovo intend to arrive with a business mission to Kazakhstan for more detailed acquaintance with the enterprises of the republic, as well as the investment opportunities of the country.

During the meeting the director of the office of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" in the Russian Federation Berick Umytbaev told about the activities of NCE, the ongoing work on development of investment and export potential by Kazakhstani entrepreneurs.
