Export of goods from Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic Fairly can be characterized as homogeneous and predictable at the same time. Answering the question of the reporter of palata.kz the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in combination Serzhan Abdikarimov said that the share of Kazakhstan’s export in the foreign trade of the Czech Republic amounted to 0.3% by the end of 2015.
"The Czech Republic receives from Kazakhstan mainly oil, gas, phosphate and steel, which is 98.5% of Kazakhstan's exports", - said S. Abdikarimov today during a briefing at the MFA of RK.
In turn, the structure of Kazakhstan's imports from the Czech Republic is very heterogeneous.
"Imports from the Czech Republic consists of a variety of equipment, components, materials, treatment plants, electrical appliances, boilers, pharmaceutical products, as well as furniture, glass, ceramics and other consumer goods", - added the ambassador.
Assessing general Kazakh-Czech trade interests, Serzhan Abdikarimov stated that "the Czech Republic included Kazakhstan in 2009 in the number of its trading partners". However, the current volume of bilateral trade is falling, "in 2015, we could observe a decline of 35% compared to 2014". Total turnover amounted to 666.5 million US dollars. According to S. Abdikarimov the trade dynamics was affected, in particular, by "the worldwide fall of energy and metals prices, as well as the devaluation of the tenge and the koruna." At the same time, we note that the Czech Republic – is a country that is not part of Eurozone, it still has its national currency - Czech koruna.
According to Mr. Ambassador, the total volume of direct investments of the Czech Republic in the economy of Kazakhstan in the period from 2005 to 2014 reached 196.2 million dollars. At the same time the gross inflow of direct investments of Kazakhstan in the Czech economy was 13.4 million USD in the same period.
