Aktobe region will supply food products to Almaty
The parties signed a memorandum on direct deliveries
At a meeting on cooperation in the framework of inter-regional cooperation between Almaty and Aktobe region was signed a memorandum on mutual deliveries. The project is expected to reduce great volume of imports of 86 food products in Almaty. Thus, half of consumed cheeses, poultry, sausages and butter are imported to the metropolis. The city authorities have urged local producers to produce all the goods inside the country, thus ensuring food security.
"On today's exhibition we saw products produced in Aktobe, it is of good quality. Almaty consumes, imports products for 3 trillion tenge, of which foodstuffs - 300 billion tenge, footwear - 51 billion tenge, furniture - 23 billion tenge. That is, we have a great foundation for import substitution. Almaty and Aktobe regions have never been competitors, we are part of one of Kazakhstan's industrial cluster. And our manufacturers must not only import substitution of these volumes, but also start to export. To do this, we need to learn from each other. In general, we intend to strengthen the policy of increase of Kazakh content, together with the NCE RK "Atameken" are working in this direction", - said the deputy akim of Almaty Yerlan Aukenov.
During the meeting, the Aktobe side expressed its readiness to supply to the metropolis sour milk, meat, fish, confectionery products.
"Our advantage – is a high content of gluten in wheat. Hence, we guarantee high quality of our grain, flour, pasta, bakery products. We have a full cycle of mutton production - from livestock cultivation to packaging of meat in vacuum packages. That is our meat meets all international requirements, export oriented. 30 million hectares of sown areas provide great potential in agriculture. We have a lot of enterprises producing building materials. After our meeting, I hope they will find a niche in Almaty. We have the capacity, there is cattle, but the export to Russia and some other countries, we have suspended, in connection with recent events. And the released volume we are ready to supply to the southern capital. In addition, our area is rich in hydrocarbon resources, we have the cheapest gas, resulting in the most competitive products at low cost. We are ready to cooperate with the citizens of Almaty", - said the deputy akim of the Aktobe region Mukhtar Zhumagazy.
Direct sales of products from the manufacturer to the buyer without any intermediary system will significantly reduce food prices. Thus, the authorities of Almaty continues to implement the instructions of the Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev on increase of the proportion of local content, trade exchange between the regions and provision of the population with better quality domestic production at a reasonable cost.
At the end of the meeting Aktobe producers visited the confectionery factory "Rakhat", bakery plant "KBC" Aksai ", supermarkets “Magnum Cash & Carry” and “Carrefour”.
This is the eighth meeting on inter-regional cooperation. It is assumed that all regions of Kazakhstan will be covered.
