In five districts of the region, farmers will learn the basics of innovation and effective management of agribusiness

In the Karaganda region were defined the basic farming objects to enhance agrarian competence of agricultural producers – in a week will start training seminars for farmers. LLP "Astra Agro”, "Toparskie greenhouses" and Farm "Chance" from Abay district,  and LLP "Naydorovskoe" from Osakarov District will host colleagues from around the region at their farms. Here employees of Scientific-Production Center of Grain Farming named after A.I. Barayev will share their knowledge in the field of agriculture and horticulture. On the basis of farms "Eskene" and "Zhanbolat" in Zhanaarka District and LLP "APH-Saryarka" in Buharzhyrau district will be organized a workshop for the livestock producers. How to run effectively the equine business, this training will be held in Shet district at the farm "Sholak Espe".

The duration of training sessions will be from one to five days depending on the coverage of topics. A target group of students is formed for each workshop. The training provides the theoretical lectures, explaining the general principles of action and order of the use of advanced technologies and techniques. Then, listeners of the course will attend the practical part - practical skills of application of advanced technologies and techniques, with the possibility to listen to and to apply the lesson in practice.

Within the framework of educational seminars on horticulture students will be provided with detailed information on the technology and service support throughout the growing season of crops, cultivation technologies, including the selection of crops, crop rotation systems, varieties and resources for the care and protection of plants. At the workshops on livestock, students will gain knowledge about reproductive technologies, the creation of fodder, feeding and farm animals, information on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of farm animals, as well as advice on other technological issues.

Topics of seminars conducted covering all the main areas of agro-industrial complex: technological issues, the use of advanced technologies in crop production, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, processing of agricultural products, as well as the planned coverage of organic farming, which in turn will contribute to the development of the principles of "green "economy in Kazakhstan. Also, experts will teach the agricultural management, in particular, business management, financial planning, the principles of pricing, marketing, organization, business planning, risk management. Questions of cooperation and state support of agro-industrial complex will also become part of the workshops.

Topics are formed on the basis of the collection and study of information obtained directly from agribusiness entities. Direct consulting of agribusiness entities will be conducted by highly qualified Kazakhstani experts directly with the visits to the regions and the farms, will provide practical assistance in solving the technological (situational) targets and the introduction of modern technologies.

By the end of the summer 20 seminars of the kind will be organized in the region.

The development of the system of knowledge extension is one of the basic components of "Agribusiness 2020". The program is planned to develop the transfer of knowledge in all areas of agribusiness and thereby provide practical training, consulting and methodological support on the ground in all regions of Kazakhstan. The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" was entrusted with the state task of creating an effective system of knowledge extension in the agricultural sector, given that NCE represents the interests of small, medium and large businesses and it encompasses all business sectors, it has experience in training, retraining, qualification, certification and assessment of cadres, as well as an extensive regional network and high competence.

The Center of Agricultural Competence was created under NCE, which aims to become the best service in the field of agriculture. This year the Center, for the execution of the state task of the Ministry of Agriculture, provides information support to agribusiness entities. It will hold 666 seminars in 25 priority areas of agro-industrial complex on the basis of the country's leading farms covering about 10 thousand subjects of agrarian and industrial complex.

A call center for the agribusiness entities has also been launched for this purpose. All agricultural producers and farmers of the country can contact the number 59 79 60. The call is free from all regions of Kazakhstan, and the number is dialed without the area code of Astana.
