Kazakh-Chinese tourism forum will be held in Astana
The event will be organized by NCE RK "Atameken", the Metropolitan Association of Tourism and Association of Kazakhstani Travel Agencies
On 14th of December 2015 Kazakhstan and China signed a memorandum on the simplification of group tourist trips of Chinese citizens to the Republic of Kazakhstan. This Memorandum opens up new possibilities for the development of tourism in Kazakhstan. At present, China is the leading guide market of the world. In 2014, 107 million Chinese citizens went abroad for tourist purposes, in 2015 the growth reached 127.9 million. Tourists from China went throughout the world. They have spent 292.2 billion US dollars on the trips.
On the eve of the year of China in Kazakhstan in 2017, on 28th of September 2016 at the hotel Radisson Hotel Astana the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" together with the Metropolitan Association of Tourism and the Association of Travel Agencies of Kazakhstan "ATAK" will hold Kazakhstani - Chinese tourism forum, the general carrier of which will be Air Astana. This event is included in the calendar of events of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The objectives of the Forum are the formation and promotion of a favorable tourist image of the country, promotion of the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of tourism between Kazakhstan and China, facilitation of the dialogue between the state bodies and representatives of the tourist industry of Kazakhstan and China.
The main topics of the Forum:
1. The future of the international Chinese tourism: trends and prospects;
2. International experience in the reception of tourists from China;
3. Prospects of inbound tourism from China to Kazakhstan.
Representatives of the Pacific Asian Tourist Association (PATA), the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), the State Administration of China Tourism, state tourism agencies in Hong Kong, Beijing, Xinjiang, Hainan Province and Shanxi, China Academy tourism, as well as the first heads of state bodies and business in Kazakhstan were invited to be the speakers of the Forum. Speakers from Russia will share their experience in the maintenance of Chinese tourist groups, namely, the executive director of the Tourist Association "The World Without Borders" S. Pyatihatka, General Director of JSC "Intourist" L. Marmer, Director on Development of Association "Independent Hotel Alliance", hotel manager SkyPoint Sheremetyevo K. Artemev, Commercial Director of "Marketing, exhibitions, consulting" A. Smolyar and a program coordinator China Friendly A. Sibirkina. China Friendly program which aims to create a comfortable environment for a stay of Chinese tourists and promotion of tourist products in the Chinese market, attraction of new customers and increase of the tourist industry revenues.
It is expected that the upcoming event will be attended by more than 200 professionals of Kazakhstan's tourist business. In addition, the Forum will be attended by Chinese tourist companies, which will visit Kazakhstan within infotour conducted by the Metropolitan Association of Tourism and the airline Air Astana.
Moreover, within the Forum it is expected to sign a memorandum between the tourist organizations and representatives of Kazakhstan's business in China and Russia, as well as holding a photo contest "I love Kazakhstan", the objectives of which is to promote the tourist places of the region and promotion of the tourist potential of Kazakhstan.
