Business circles of Kazakhstan and Switzerland discuss cooperation
Business delegation from Switzerland headed by the Minister of Economy of Geneva visited NCE RK "Atameken"
At the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" was held a meeting between the business circles of Kazakhstan and Switzerland in the framework of the visit of the Minister of Economy of the Canton of Geneva Pierre Mode security to the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of Ayan Erenov and the President and the Chamber of Commerce of Switzerland - Russia / CIS Ki Mettan.
As it was noted by the chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Ayan Erenov, this is a study visit of the Swiss side. The Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Switzerland - Russia / CIS, as well as with the Chamber of Commerce of the Canton of Geneva. "We agreed that we establish a structure that will promote cooperation between the two countries. We also agreed that we would actively assist the Kazakhstani business to find the Swiss partners, and on our part asked the Swiss side to assist in this matter", - he said.
Erenov noted that the delegation is dominated by three sectors: education, health, and tourism. Guests are interested in the cooperation of the Swiss companies in terms of access to the market of Kazakhstan. "They are interested in our country, because we have for them is a kind of bridge to the Chinese market. Hence, they are also ready to go to the Russian market, as they are interested in working with our Central Asian neighbors. After a visit to Astana they travel to Almaty, where they will meet with the financial community. We hope that this visit will eventually grow into a specific connection", - he added.
According to the minister Pierre Mode, Switzerland has interest to cooperate with Kazakhstan in the financial industry in the light of the fact that Astana has ambitions to become a regional financial center. Second – is to improve relations in the sohere of trading.
The meeting of Swiss and Kazakh businessmen at the National Chamber was held in B2B format, during which they discussed the upcoming joint projects in Kazakhstan.
The delegation of Switzerland – included entrepreneurs from different industries who are interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan. For example, the association “GJASD International” is engaged in dissemination of ideas related to green technologies, nature conservation, climate change confronts. Representatives of the organization also plan to meet with the tourism department of MID and SEZ "Burabay" on issues of development of tourism and agro-tourism. A group of companies Global Contractors specializes in the design of infrastructure projects. The company's specialists are engaged in the design of airports, hydroelectric power stations, roads, bridges, interchanges and other large construction projects. They work in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and now looking are for partners to implement their projects in Kazakhstan.
