Mentor’s status should take its rightful place in training
In Ust-Kamenogorsk was held a two-day training workshop for mentors, organized in the framework of the Kazakh-German project
It was attended by employees of Human Resources Department (HR), managers of industrial sites, foremen, representatives of the departments of occupational health and safety, mentors, representatives of regional colleges, working within the dual training system.
Questions of organization of mentoring, monitoring of students during an internship at the enterprises, organizations of all kinds of mechanism of practice of students (production, processing, pre-diploma) were submitted for discussion by the German expert of SES / HC (GIZ) Gunther Neum.
The psychologist, who was invited to the seminar, familiarized listeners with the psychological characteristics of students and their relationship to production activities.
In total, the seminar was attended by about 34 participants from 10 companies and 6 representatives of colleges that are interested in organizing mentoring in the region.
"An important task of training mentors and the status of mentors must take its rightful place in training", - said the head of the smelter shop of LLP "Kazzinc" Rajan Chingaliev.
Upon completion of training will be identified issues to be addressed at subsequent workshops.
