The next step in the development of the Business Council of EAEU
There has been created an Advisory Council on Interaction of the EEC and the Business Council of EAEU
EAEU Business Council, consisting of five major business communities of the Union, was established in 2015 on the initiative of NCE RK "Atameken". In May of this year changes were made to the structural nature of the Agreement on the establishment of the Business Council.
Strengthening of the created advisory body of EAEU by modernizing the structure and appointment to the new post of the President of the Business Council the ex-Chairman of the Commission in the face of Viktor Khristenko was the key decision of the Presidium of the Business Council.
Department of Economic Integration notes that the basis for the functioning of the Business Council, as defined in the Agreement, has become, in the first place, the development of a consolidated position of the business on problematic issues, barriers faced by entrepreneurs of Member States, as well as positions in the direction of integration, essential for the conduct of trading activities.
In order to bring to the business a unified position of the Member States of the EAEU and its better presentation at the site of the Commission has been created the Advisory Board.
This advisory body is intended to be an interactive platform for the business communities of the member countries of the Union, aimed at strengthening the coordination of all areas of integration.
The Advisory Board provides an interface for all areas of cooperation within the framework of integration, directly or indirectly affecting the business environment.
The structure of the Business Council is composed of 14 representatives of the business communities in the spheres of interaction, authorized representatives and directly members of the Presidium of the Business Council, from the Commission - Chairman of the Board, Board members, as well as officials of the Commission.
The proposal of the Business Council is prepared on the basis of the consolidated position of the business community, they are submitted by the Commission to the Presidium of the Business Council for consideration by the Advisory Board.
In addition, within the framework of the set up advisory body may be set up expert and working groups for a more detailed study of problematic issues and finding of solutions.
Department of economic integration of NCE notes that there is experience of this format of interaction between business and the Commission. For example, the Business Council is the successor to the Belarus-Kazakhstan-Russian business dialogue, which was formed in 2013.
In this regard, the Advisory Council has created a modernized structure, an expanded staff and new challenges, which correspond to the time and trends of integration.
NCE "Atameken", in turn, as the chairman of the EAEU Business Council this year is sure that the start of the work of the Advisory Body - is another step in the use of the Business Council, with its fundamental objectives.
