Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant celebrates its 75th anniversary
Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant - one of the oldest industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan. It was created on the basis of the evacuated from Ukraine Lugansk Locomotive Plant in 1941. In December 1941 arrived the first waggons with the equipment to Almaty, and in February 1942, it has sent to the battle fields the first mines and shells. In the postwar years, the plant switched to production of civilian goods.
Today products of AHMP are used in 32 countries: USA, UK, France, Japan, Germany and many other countries. Constant supply of machine-building products is sent to Russia (PJSC "Severstal"), Ukraine (JSC "Zaporizhstal"), Uzbekistan (JSC "Uzmetkombinat"), Kyrgyzstan (JSC "Electric Power Stations”), Belarus (JV "Minskkabel"), as well as India and Pakistan. To survive in the current economic situation, the plant had to change the course of development, and to put a stake on the expansion of the range of goods. The list of products is quite wide, but mainly, the equipment for heavy engineering, including one made by individual drawings. Today, more than 700 people work at the plant.

As one of the leaders in the business, the company never ceases to please clients with the highest quality of its products. Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant to 90% uses Kazakhstani raw materials. Production includes the casting, forging, thermal, machining operations of the technological process, dozens of component parts and assemblies in a single product, it is not easy! AHMP – is a multiple winner and prize-winner of the Republican contest "The Best Product of Kazakhstan" in the nomination "The best industrial goods", - said during a tour to the factory the director of the Chamber of entrepreneurs Yuri Tleumuratov.
Currently, AHMP – plans to transfer production to the industrial zone of Alatau district of Almaty. The volume of attracted investments for the new complex will be at least 170 million USD.
