Swiss flavor of Shymkent cakes
Cakes made by the recipe of the Swiss confectioner Alfred Andermatt appeared at the hotel “Rixos Khadisha Shymkent”
Baker with 40 years of experience, arrived to Shymkent under the program "Senior Expert Service". Most of his life Alfred Andermatt worked as a leading confectioner and traveled halfway around the world, adding to his professional experience the knowledge about the traditions of bread making in different countries. He was not only in European, but also in exotic locations, such as India, Bolivia, Ecuador, Algeria, Colombia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Egypt and many other countries. Generously, he shared the knowledge in Ukraine, Tajikistan and Russia, which he has repeatedly visited. For example, within the program "Senior Experts Service" the Swiss confectioner has participated in 18 projects around the world.
Local bakers praised the assistance of foreign colleague: the menu includes light, low-calorie, unsweetened things, as well as very delicious cakes and chocolate mousse. According to Alfred Andermatt, he was surprised by the local trend towards high-calorie pastries and that Kazakhs like to eat very sweet taste desserts. Europeans are far more restrained. By the way, the Swiss style cakes are made from local ingredients, they are loved by guests of the hotel.
As it was noted by the head of the department of human capital development of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of South Kazakhstan region Berik Kenzhebaev, the tool "Senior Experts Service" is very beneficial for business. After all, it not only allows to use the knowledge of foreign experts, to solve specific problems (whether the introduction of new technologies in the production or improvement of management techniques), but virtually it is not a big cost for business. Invited experts are paid by the Foundation «SES», i.e. the German side. Entrepreneur provides them only with food, accommodation and subsistence expenses (EUR 5).
“Any entrepreneur who wants to learn from foreign experts can participate in the program "Senior Experts Service". In 2016, more than 30 experts in different areas came within the project to SKR. This year, this figure will be doubled. The application must be submitted at the Chamber of entrepreneurs", - said B. Kenzhebaev.
