The regional stage of the WorldSkills Kazakhstan contest was completed in Taldykorgan The practical stage of the two-day professional skills competition was held at the Taldykorgan College of Service and Technology and the College of Industrial Industry and New Technologies. 44 students performed competitive tasks on the competences welding technologies, hairdressing, cooking, clothing design and modeling. At the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners the deputy Akim of Almaty region Zhaksylyk Omar noted that the competitions of professional skills should be held more often and take place with a grandiose scope. "Almaty region is one of the largest regions, there are more than 70 vocational-technical colleges. Today, 44 students participate, but given our capabilities, the number of participants should be even greater. We should try to show ourselves at the republican and international championships and make sure that there are more representatives of our region in the national team of Kazakhstan",- he said. At the ceremony, experts of the regional contest awarded certificates to all the participants of the championship and awarded the winners of 1, 2, 3 places. The winner of the Grand Prix of the competition in the nomination "Cookery" was the student of the Almaty Regional College of Innovative Technologies in the Field of Service and Nutrition Erasyl Argynbek; Igor Kim from Bastobinsk Service College was the best in the nomination "Welding Technologies". The Grand Prix of "Design of Clothing and Modeling" was won by Gulzhan Kabidolla from Kapshagai multi-disciplinary college. In the "Hairdresser's art" grand prix won the student of the Taldykorgan College of Service and Technology Madina Bapova. Now the champions will take part in the Republican contest WorldSkills Kazakhstan.
