Today in Astana the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in the meeting of the Kazakh-Belarusian business forum, primeminister.kz reports.

Within the framework of the forum, the issues of improving the investment climate were considered. In the course of his speech Bakytzhan Sagintayev told about the work of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on reducing administrative barriers to business, the work of special economic and industrial zones and the companies established by Kazakh Invest and Kazakh Export, as well as a number of state programs are aimed at business development.

During the forum, the main directions for expanding trade and economic cooperation were also voiced, including increased trade, investment cooperation and the development of transport and logistics infrastructure.

In order to improve the business climate, the International Financial Center Astana will start operating in Astana in 2018. At the same time, the International Technopark of IT Startups will be opened on the basis of one of the EXPO-2017 facilities.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich delivered speeches during the event.

At the forum site, Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Andrei Kobyakov jointly visited the exhibition "Made in Belarus", where the products of Belarusian manufacturers in the field of engineering, petrochemistry, transport, agriculture, light industry, medicine and pharmaceuticals, IT, as well as food products, construction materials are presented.

The organizers of the forum were the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken", the Ministry for Innovation and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
