But this will be possible if Kazakhstani hotels and theaters agree to pay 25% discount to international service companies

Recently, the representatives of Carmel Company introduced the concept of promotion of our country at the international tourist market during a meeting at NCE RK "Atameken". They presented to Kazakhstani tourist companies and other market players of the service industry an opportunity to enter the international service for booking and purchasing of different services. In particular, Carmel cooperates with such services as: Expedia.com, Kayak.com, Travelocity.com, Orbitz.com, Hotwire.com in more than 80 countries around the world. According to Skift.com, in October 2013 the services took the 4th, 9th, 15th, 17th and 18th place in the world among the respective sites. In particular, Expedia.com had 24.3 million visits in October 2013 - the majority of visits (79.4%) were from the United States.

"We will assist Kazakhstan companies with the access to on the international level, offering services of Kazakhstani tourist companies, demonstrating attractiveness of Astana and Almaty to tourists, who will buy tickets on these websites, flights, hotels, ground transportation. We will inform about the sights of Kazakhstan at the places of distribution of tickets, as well as assist in the sale of tickets for the Expo", - said the representative of Carmel Jacob Elizarov.

According to him, our company will be able to find foreign clients not only duration of the EXPO-2017 in Astana and Almaty Universiade, but also after. To do this, local companies need to fill out a form for cooperation with these services. This will allow domestic players to see how many trips have been ordered to Kazakhstan, and to prepare for their service.

In return, Carmel asks Kazakhstani companies 25% discount on the cost of the tickets that they now offer directly to expand the marketing field at the international websites.

As it was noted by Elizarov, foreign services are interested in Kazakhstani hotels, tours, rental cars, bicycles, taxis, theaters, movie theaters, water parks, aquariums and so on. For local companies to have access to international services, they need to introduce a 25% discount on the current rate. According to him, these funds will be directed not only at the profits of international services, but also for provision of customer bonuses and miles for flights.

"Some (of the 25% discount) goes for a tour package, and some - to the points  that we have to buy from airlines, which we then offer customers for the purchase of this tourist package or booking of a room at the hotel. For example, if you stay at the Marriot, then the Marriot - it is United sky miles, which covers millions of different airlines included in this program", - said Jacob Elizarov.

According to him, this measure will Kazakhstani players famous among potential foreign customers.

He noted that currently the international services are already working with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Mongolia. In particular, foreign tourists can without leaving their country, rent a car in Kyrgyzstan or book tickets for theater in Georgia.

At the same time representative of Carmel found it difficult to report on the possible tourism flows from the USA to Kazakhstan on the example of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, representatives of "Astana Opera" noted that state institutions can’t provide a discount on the already established price. In this regard, they can’t work both with international and domestic discount services. By the way, "Astana Opera" reported that about 30% of tickets are sold to foreign nationals.
