One US dollar equals 300 KZT
It seems that Astana residents aren’t worried about sharp rise of US dollar currency exchange rate
Today in Astana the currency exchange offices sell a US dollar for 300 tenge. The exchange rate has surged quite high. They say, it has reached an important mark from the psychological point of view. However, the new record average rate of tenge to a US dollar doesn’t scare Astana residents. During preparation of a photo report, our correspondent did not find any vacant exchange office. Everywhere were small queues of people, wishing to exchange the national currency into foreign.
On average, the dollar purchase rate is 298.5 tenge and sale rate is 300 tenge. This is the data based on the exchange offices, which are located on the Republic Avenue - the busiest place for foreign currency transaction.
