The campaign will be launched in four regions of Kazakhstan

The question of how will develop small individual entities in times of crisis were discussed at the 2nd annual conference of entrepreneurs in Almaty.

"The majority of allocated and subsidized funds is intended for large and medium-sized businesses. Small business is often left out of the state support. Meanwhile, individual entrepreneurs form 80% of all SMEs in Almaty. How will the problems and interests of individual entrepreneurs will be protected in such difficult economic times? "- Wondered economic commentator Denis Krivosheev.

According to the head of NCE Timur Kulibayev, one of the most important measures of support, which was provided to microbusiness, is the preservation of the former tax regime.

"We all remember got discussion of introduction of changes to the tax regime for individual entrepreneurs, which took place last fall. We have postponed the issue through negotiations, we convinced the Government that the patents for individual entrepreneurs should be retained at least for one year in order to ensure their survival. Large individual entities pay 3% of turnover, small one submit tax statements. Thanks to this tax policy, for the last 7 years, the number individual entities grew and reached more than 1 million subjects", - stressed Timur Kulibayev.

He also said that in all areas of Almaty will open Centers for Servicing Entrepreneurs that will provide free services to small businesses, the active work on removal of administrative barriers at government agencies is on and to reduce the number of unnecessary permits. Moreover, the Chamber launched the mechanism of micro-crediting of SMEs in the regions.

"We agreed with the four Akimats (Almaty, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and Mangystau regions) on the allocation of funds to small businesses. NCE allocates 300 million tenge, Akimats will allocate 300 million tenge, a total of 600 million tenge for microcrediting. These are the areas that have asked us for funding. These funds were allocated by our sponsors, on the returnable basis. And from past experience of SKO, we see a 97% recovery of the funds, that is, we are assured that the money will not be wasted", - said Timur Kulibayev.
