Chinese companies are preparing to produce in Kazakhstan different products
What is the situation with the creation of new joint ventures and transfer of production capacity from China to Kazakhstan? Some detail about the possible industrial relocation was discussed today during a friendly meeting with representatives of the Kazakh media reported the extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Hongwei.
"52 projects (included in the list of projects for possible implementation on the territory of Kazakhstan) concerning the construction of the plant, the reconstruction of the metallurgical plant, the construction of infrastructure projects. For example, the construction of a light railway in Astana, plants for production of cement, glass and other recycling projects", - said Mr. Ambassador.
Zhang Hongwei noted that "all these projects are focused on delivering these products to the international market or to meet the demand at the domestic market through replacement of imported goods".
"Certainly, you (Kazakhstan) have a very solid currency reserve, but using this reserve you can do a lot. Not only import basic goods", - said Mr. Ambassador.
Returning to the subject of industrial cooperation of Kazakhstan and China, Zhang Hongwei stated that "there are materials and conditions for that". However, he does not exclude the participation of Chinese companies in modernization of Kazakh enterprises. "But those factories that work for a long time, it is necessary to modernize, to renovate, we can help. And, of course, there are new projects, from our side, we will work on inclusion of some of the projects related to the production and processing of agricultural products", - informed the Ambassador.
"I would say that this is a very good start. This year our main task is the implementation. I already can't sleep at night, I think how we will attain this goal on time. We need to deal only with concrete actions", said the Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan.
Zhang Changwei reported that between Kazakhstan and China there is "good contact". The Chinese Embassy has sent a proposal to the national Ministry concerning the possibility of sharing specialists "to help your and our entrepreneurs", - concluded the Ambassador.
