If you are you planning to travel abroad - check the presence of IIN!

In connection with the end of the transitional period, which was granted to the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the exchange of documents, all who are planning to travel abroad, should remember that citizens of Kazakhstan, who present documents that do not contain the generated personal identification number (IIN) won’t be allowed to pass the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In January 2013 was adopted the legislative norm on the presence of IIN in identity documents.

According to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the identity documents", such documents are:

      1) passport of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      2) identity card of the citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      3) residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      4) ID of a stateless person;

      5) diplomatic passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      6) The service passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

      7) refugee certificate;

      8) Kazakhstani sailor’s identity document;

      9) passport;

      10) certificate of return;

      11) the birth certificate.

Such documents as passport, identity card, residence permit of an alien in the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomatic and official passports, as well as a birth certificate must contain the individual identification numbers.

In addition, IIN should be in the identity documents  of oralmans, stateless persons, the registration certificate for foreigners and stateless persons in the absence of identity documents. The documents, with the exception of birth certificates shall be deemed invalid in the absence of them in the generated identification number, from 1st of  January 2013 year.

In this regard, NCE RK "Atameken" asks tourist companies to pay special attention to IIN in the identity documents when making a tour package.
