We look forward to 30 new investment projects
This year, new productions will be opened in Kazakhstan by foreign investors
Despite all the global challenges, investors are still interested in Kazakhstan, as a center of investment in the region. Such a statement was made today during the XXIX Plenary session of the Foreign Investors' Council with the participation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev by the Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev. "Currently, we are actively working on more than 200 initiatives of foreign investors in the manufacturing sector with a total potential investment of over 40 billion USD", - said the Minister.
Asset Isekeshev noted that "there are already first results". "This year 30 new productions will be launched by foreign investors", - he said.
The Investment and Development Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid special attention to work with multinational companies. According to Asset Issekeshev, representatives of TNC showed "more than 40 investment initiatives," so for each transnational company there is "a concrete plan of action, almost on a daily basis we monitor them".
"For example, the Italian company Tenaris launches production of oil pipes with premium connections in Mangistau region in July of this year. "EuroChem" begins construction of a plant for the production of mineral fertilizers", - Asset Isekeshev quoted an example.
It is expected that during 2016 Kazakhstan will center on new materials and additive technology with the US company the Materia, as well as the Center for Financial Technologies FinTech with IBM.
